The project involved a side extension and the full internal and external renovation and modernisation of a dilapidated property on Deal Beach front.

A tiny 1m wide extension is squeezed between the side of the property and the street providing space for a cloakroom, boot room and utility/ laundry and timber frame construction maximises the amount of usable internal space. With this extension containing all the functional support spaces, this allowed for the ground floor to be completely opened up into a single open plan family friendly living space. The first floor layout was reconfigured to provide an additional bedroom and bathroom within the same footprint, taking the property from 2 bed/1 bath to 3 bed/2 bath.

The property was also externally renovated, included fully insulating the walls/ roof/ floors, new windows and doors, a new roof and solar panels, repointing the external brickwork and fixing damp and structural problems.

Continuing the spirit of re-use, the interior has been brilliantly styled by the clients using entirely second hand furniture and reclaimed fittings sourced from car boot sales and Facebook Market place.
